Maintenance of Decanters/Tricanters
We at ES Separation Engineering believe totally in being Proactive rather than reactive. We have all tools available to us that allow us to actively monitor and assess the wear that is taking place in any given unit. We strive to ensure that each unit is fully optimised to deliver at its full rated capacity, cost effectively and safely. To achieve this, we offer a fully certified training course which targets operators and maintenance staff to ensure that premature failure due to operational or maintenance error is eradicated. The training is split into various sectors involving the hardware, software and care of operation/maintenance.
We also carry out audits on existing units and advise customers on any necessary changes that need to be made to achieve maximum throughput in a safer and more cost effective method.
Preventative Maintenance
The primary goal of preventive maintenance is to prevent equipment failure before it actually occurs. This may include inspections at a more frequent interval or technology that will enable you to accurately forecast the wear rate etc. Standard preventive maintenance checks increase the lifetime of your assets; reduce the need for repair or replacement, and thus a healthier bottom line.
However, in order to achieve this, the quality of the maintenance carried out is of a very high standard by trained and suitably qualified workmen. Quality of lubrication, atmospheric conditions and outside interference are all major contributors to premature failure…in short, there is always room for improvement when it comes to being PROACTIVE!!
refurbishment
Refurbishment of Decanters, Tricanters, Oil Purifiers and Plate heat exchangers.
Upon arrival at our Durban works;
- Unit is first cleaned out in the designated wash bay,
- Unit is then stripped so that a detailed assessment report can be sent through to the customer regarding the components that need to be refurbished along with costs.
- We then arrange a viewing/discussion with the customer so that the extent of damage and the method of repair and cost is discussed and agreed upon.
- Based on the extent of repair, a timeline of expected delivery is then issued. We strive to meet all deadlines and ensure that clear lines of communication are always maintained.
- Once all components are ready for assembly, a thorough examination is carried out to ensure that the assembly goes smoothly.
- As a detailed report of the refurbishment is required, photos are taken throughout the assembly of the unit. This report will be part of the work pack that will be handed to the customer upon delivery/commissioning of the unit.
- Quality control is carried out prior to the unit being signed off for despatch to ensure that our work is to the highest quality.
Servicing
Servicing of Decanters, Tricanters, Oil Purifiers and Plate heat exchangers can be either done on site or at our workshop:
- We ensure that all spares, kits/seals, gaskets, plates etc are at our works prior to removing the unit for service.
- Utmost car is taken to ensure that the spares are of a good standard and that the correct spares have been supplied.
- Ensure that all necessary tooling and equipment is available for the service to be carried out.
- All necessary transport arrangements have been finalised as majority of the time, we have very little time to carry out the required service work.
